수연소

작업을 하면서 느꼈던 공예의 아름다움, 손작업이 주는 평온과 집중의 시간을 담은 공간이 우리의 삶에 필요하다는 생각에 자연스러운 손의 움직임이란 뜻을 가진 ‘수연소’ (手然所) 를 기획하였습니다.  

‘수연소’ 는 누구나 쉽게 공예를 경험할 수 있는 열린 공간으로써 손을 통해 창작하고 공예의 가치를 만들어 나가며, 눈에 띄게 화려하지 않아도 조용한 힘을 가진 것들을 제작하고 소개합니다.

Suyunso (手然所), meaning “the natural movement of hands,” was created from the belief that we need spaces in our lives to share the quiet beauty of craft — the calm and focused moments that arise through handwork.

Suyunso is an open space where anyone can easily engage with craft.   Through making with our hands, we explore the value of craftsmanship — creating and introducing works that may not be loud or ornate, but carry a quiet, enduring strength.
